Summary of Sunday School Children’s Day Out at Red Kangaroo, Nottingham
In 2023, the Sunday School children of Nottingham Salvation Outreach had an exciting and memorable day out at Red Kangaroo Nottingham, an indoor trampoline park. The event was a resounding success, bringing joy, energy, and unity to the children and their leaders, and providing an unforgettable experience for all.
The day started with a sense of anticipation as the children gathered at the church. Their excitement was palpable, and they couldn’t wait to begin the fun-filled adventure. After a short prayer and a brief briefing from the leaders, everyone boarded the coach, ready for an afternoon of activity, games, and fellowship.

Upon arrival at Red Kangaroo, the children were welcomed by the friendly staff who gave them a brief safety orientation before letting them loose on the trampolines. The venue, with its spacious, colorful trampolines, dodgeball courts, and obstacle courses, provided an ideal setting for the children to expend their energy in a safe and supervised environment.
The kids quickly divided into groups and participated in a variety of activities, including:
Trampolining: The children had an absolute blast jumping, flipping, and bouncing on the large interconnected trampolines. Laughter echoed throughout the venue as they tried their hand at tricks, flips, and friendly competitions.
Dodgeball: The children enjoyed friendly but competitive games of dodgeball, showing off their agility, teamwork, and sportsmanship. It was clear that they were having the time of their lives, and there were plenty of cheers and high-fives as they played together.
Obstacle Course: The obstacle course was a big hit, with kids racing through the challenges, encouraging each other, and pushing themselves to complete the course. The sense of camaraderie and excitement was evident as the children cheered on their teammates.
Throughout the event, the church leaders ensured the safety and well-being of all the children, making sure everyone was included and having fun. There was a strong sense of community as children from different age groups bonded over the shared experience. In between activities, they gathered for snacks and drinks, allowing for a bit of rest and conversation.
The day out was more than just a chance to have fun; it also provided an opportunity for the children to build friendships and strengthen their bonds within the church family. The excitement and joy were evident in the smiles and laughter of the children, making it a truly successful outing for the church.
By the time the event came to an end, everyone was tired but happy. The children were filled with stories to share and memories to cherish, and the leaders were grateful for the opportunity to watch the children grow in both joy and fellowship.
This event was a great success for Nottingham Salvation Outreach, highlighting the importance of creating opportunities for the children to have fun while building a strong sense of community within the church. It was a wonderful example of how the church continues to invest in the younger generation, providing them with experiences that are not only enjoyable but also spiritually enriching.
We look forward to many more such days out, as we continue to nurture and support the children in their faith journey.
